NDC Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation in Ijebu North, Unveils Assembly Candidates to Ogun Guber Candidate

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has intensified its grassroots mobilisation in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State as the party moves to strengthen its political structure ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The development followed the formal presentation of two House of Assembly candidates from the local government to the party’s Ogun State governorship candidate, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina.
The presentation was led by the NDC Chairman in Ijebu North Local Government, Ifade Oloda Oluwatosin, who introduced Hon. Balogun Idris Toluwalase, the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Ijebu Igbo Constituency, and Hon. Okusanya Oladipupo Olufunmi, the candidate for Ifelodun Constituency.
The engagement is seen as part of efforts to consolidate the party’s political presence in Ijebu North and establish a coordinated campaign structure ahead of the elections.
The party’s mobilisation strategy is expected to extend beyond the ward level, with the leadership focusing on building an effective structure down to the polling-unit level.
This grassroots approach is aimed at ensuring direct engagement with voters across communities while strengthening coordination among party members, candidates and supporters at the various polling units.
The introduction of the two candidates also provides an opportunity for the candidates and local government leadership to align with the governorship candidate on the party’s broader political vision and campaign objectives.
Hon. Balogun Idris Toluwalase will contest for the Ijebu Igbo Constituency seat, while Hon. Okusanya Oladipupo Olufunmi will represent the party in the Ifelodun Constituency race.
Party stakeholders are expected to sustain consultations, mobilisation and community engagement across the local government as the NDC seeks to expand its grassroots support base.
The latest development further signals the party’s determination to build a strong and well-coordinated political structure in Ijebu North, with mobilisation reaching communities, wards and polling units across the local government.
