A Nigerian man, identified as Joseph Kayode Aladesuyi, has reportedly been kidnapped by suspected bandits, with the abductors allegedly demanding a ransom of N100 million for his release.
The incident has drawn attention on social media after it surfaced that Aladesuyi had previously made a public post praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for efforts to tackle insecurity in Nigeria.
In the resurfaced post, Aladesuyi described the President as a “selfless leader,” highlighting what he called major reforms aimed at strengthening the nation’s economy and security structure.
According to his earlier statement, Tinubu had spent decades building a strong political structure and, after attaining power, chose to focus on reforms rather than personal gain. He praised policies such as the removal of petrol and foreign exchange subsidies, efforts to block corruption within the national oil sector, and collaborations with international partners to address insecurity.

Aladesuyi also declared his full support for Tinubu’s re-election, stating that he was “100 percent committed” to the President’s political future.
However, in a troubling development, reports now indicate that the same man has been abducted by bandits, who are demanding a ransom of N100 million from his family.
Details surrounding the location and circumstances of the kidnapping remain unclear at the time of filing this report. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

The development has sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the continued challenge of insecurity across different parts of the country.
Security agencies are expected to intensify efforts to secure the victim’s release and track down those responsible for the abduction.
