The Sopenlukale of Oke-Sopen, His Royal Highness Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf (FAAC, FCIML, FICP), has celebrated his 24th Coronation Anniversary with the commissioning of major community development projects in Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo.
The projects, facilitated by the monarch as part of activities marking his 24 years on the throne, include the Royal Arcade located at Itowo Junction, a borehole constructed for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Forest Guide, SO-SAFE and Immigration Service and with the community members at the Fire Station Area and the newly completed De Royale Classic Hall at Odorasoyin, Oke-Sopen.
The projects were officially commissioned by the Paramount Ruler of Ijebu-Igbo Kingdom, Alayeluwa Oba Lawrence Jaiyeola Adebajo, Ojuromi VI, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, alongside traditional rulers, chiefs, community leaders, and residents.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the unveiling of the De Royale Classic Hall, a modern event centre with a seating capacity of 800 guests. Located opposite the VIO Office and beside Total Filling Station at Odorasoyin, the hall is expected to serve as a venue for social, cultural, corporate and community events.
The facility also hosted the installation ceremony of newly appointed chiefs, providing a befitting environment for the historic occasion.
A major highlight of the anniversary celebration was the installation of distinguished sons and daughters of Oke-Sopen into chieftaincy titles.
Among those honored were Aare Olayinka Mufutau Sadiku and Yeye Elizabeth Biola Sadiku, who travelled from the United States of America to receive the titles of Aare and Yeye Aare Bajulaye of Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo.
Also installed was Chief Mrs. Rukayat Oladogba, who came from the United Kingdom and was conferred with the prestigious title of Yeye Borokini of Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo. The colorful ceremony attracted family members, friends, community leaders and well-wishers from within and outside Nigeria, adding glamour to the celebration of the monarch’s 24th year on the throne.
Speaking at the reception, His Royal Highness, Oba Dr. Mufutau Adesesan Yusuf (FAAC, FCIML, FICP), the Sopenlukale of Oke-Sopen, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the royal fathers, chiefs, dignitaries, friends, family members, and the entire people of Oke-Sopen for their presence and support during the celebration of his 24th Coronation Anniversary.
The monarch thanked everyone who has contributed to the peace, growth, and development of Oke-Sopen throughout his reign, noting that the achievements recorded so far would not have been possible without their cooperation and unwavering support.

Oba Dr Mufutau Yusuf further reaffirmed his commitment to the continued progress of Oke-Sopen, promising to facilitate more developmental projects and initiatives that will improve the welfare of the people and promote the socio-economic advancement of the community and its environs.
The event was graced by an array of royal fathers, distinguished personalities and prominent sons and daughters of Ijebu-Igbo and beyond. Among the traditional rulers in attendance were His Royal Highness, Oba Dr. Abdulrasheed Abayomi Banjo, PhD, the Olokine of Ojowo, His Royal Highness, Oba Stephen Adeleke Adekoya, the Bejeroku of Oke-Agbo, His Royal Highness, Oba Adewale Aderemi Ogunye, the Abijaparako of Japara; and His Royal Highness, Oba Tajudeen Kolawole Omotayo, the Onimope of Imope, His Royal Highness, Oba (Dr.) Abdul Razaq Olufemi Adebanjo, Oloru of Oru-Ijebu.

Other notable dignitaries present included Senator Olalekan Mustapha, CON, Otunba Mufutau Adekoya, CEO of Wosam Hotel, Otunba Adedoyin Adesina, the Fimogboye of Oke-Sopen, Otunba Olayinka Olanrewaju, Yeye Aderonke Akinsanya; Yeye Bobagbimo of Oke Sopen, Yeye Mesho, Alhaja Iyabo Azeez, Oloye Hakeem Adekoya, the Bobadara of Oke-Sopen, Otunba and Yeye Biodun Akinsanya, Alhaji Sansa Oseni, the Bashorun of Oke-Sopen, Mogaji Ismail Ewunmi, the Asiwaju of Oke-Sopen and members of Egbe Tobalase Akile Ijebu.
The occasion also attracted distinguished guests from the United States of America and the United Kingdom, alongside numerous community leaders, business executives, professionals, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the 24th Coronation Anniversary of the Sopenlukale of Oke-Sopen and witness the commissioning of landmark projects as well as the installation of new chiefs.

Residents and stakeholders commended Oba Yusuf for his commitment to community development, noting that the projects would improve the welfare of residents and contribute to the socio-economic growth of Oke-Sopen.
The anniversary celebration reflected the monarch’s dedication to service and development, as he continues to leave a lasting legacy in Oke-Sopen and the wider Ijebu-Igbo community.
Speaking during the event, guests praised the royal father for his visionary leadership and sustained efforts towards infrastructural and human capital development throughout his 24-year reign.
The celebration concluded with goodwill messages and prayers for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Oke-Sopen and Ijebu-Igbo Kingdom.
