The Elegant Esteemed Gentlemen Club of Ogun State has distributed palliative food items to elderly residents in different parts of Ijebu Igbo as part of its humanitarian outreach programme.
The event took place on May 26, 2026, across Oke Sopen, Oke Agbo, Ojowo, Atikori and Japara quarters of Ijebu Igbo, where members of the club visited aged individuals and presented them with food items to support their daily living.
The food items distributed included rice, beans, garri, semovita and other essential commodities carefully selected to meet the needs of the elderly beneficiaries.
Speaking during the outreach, the President of the club, Gent Seun Adeeko, who was represented by the Vice President, Gent Okeowo Adeniyi, said the initiative was aimed at showing love, care and support to elderly people in the community.
He explained that the club remains committed to humanitarian service and giving back to society, especially to those who have contributed greatly to the growth of the community over the years.
According to him, the gesture was also a way of appreciating the elderly and putting smiles on their faces during difficult economic times.
The beneficiaries expressed joy and gratitude to the Elegant Esteemed Gentlemen Club for the kind gesture, praying for more success, unity and progress for the association and its members.
