The First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, is set to commission six completed projects across Ijebu North Local Government Area as part of the 2025/2026 projects executed under the leadership of the Chairman, Hon Dr. Omobolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya, M.Sc, FCIA.
The commissioning ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat serving as the venue.
The projects, according to the official invitation, cover key areas of road and bridge infrastructure across Ijebu-Igbo, Ago-Iwoye and Ilaporu, with the aim of improving transportation, accessibility and movement within the communities.
Six Projects to Be Commissioned
The projects listed for commissioning include:
- Central Mosque Road, Oke Jaga, Ijebu-Igbo
- Wasimi Road, Ago-Iwoye
- Olowonimoyin Road, Ago-Iwoye
- Ologbe Bridge, Ijebu-Igbo
- Odobotu Bridge, Ijebu-Igbo
- Oke Egedu Bridge, Ilaporu
The projects form part of the 2025/2026 projects of the Hon. Bolaji Odusanya-led administration in Ijebu North Local Government.
The commissioning by the Ogun State First Lady is expected to attract government officials, political leaders, community leaders, stakeholders and residents from different parts of the local government.
The development is also expected to highlight the administration’s efforts in addressing infrastructure needs within the local government, particularly through road rehabilitation and bridge projects designed to improve connectivity between communities.
Residents and stakeholders are expected to witness the formal commissioning of the projects as the local government continues its efforts to deliver infrastructure and other development initiatives across Ijebu North.
The commissioning ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat.
