A student of Business Administration (HND I) at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPoly) and an indigene of Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, Moshood Iradat Temilade, has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Students’ Union Government (SUG) Welfare Director in the institution’s forthcoming student union election.
In her declaration of intent, Temilade highlighted her previous experience as the SUG Vice President during her National Diploma (ND) programme, describing it as a period that equipped her with valuable leadership experience and a deeper understanding of students’ needs.
According to the aspirant, her decision to seek the office of Welfare Director is driven by a passion for promoting the welfare, well-being, and overall interests of students across the institution.
She pledged to lead with dedication, transparency, compassion and accountability if elected, assuring students that she would work tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard, their concerns addressed, and their welfare remains a top priority.
“I humbly seek your support, trust, and votes as we work together towards a better and more inclusive student community,” she stated in her campaign message.
Campaigning under the slogan “Service • Compassion • Commitment,” Temilade called on members of the student community to support her vision for a more responsive and student-focused welfare system.
Her declaration has continued to attract attention, particularly among students and supporters from Ijebu-Igbo, who have expressed optimism about her leadership aspirations ahead of the SUG elections.
As election activities gather momentum at Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, students are expected to assess the manifestos and leadership qualities of aspirants before casting their votes.
